Bobby Locke is a London-based British composer and pianist whose music blends minimalist and cinematic elements, drawing inspiration from Max Richter and Philip Glass. With a focus on simplicity and balance, Bobby crafts compositions that tell their own stories, using the piano as the foundation from which his ideas evolve.
A member of BAFTA Connect, Bobby completed his first feature film score in 2023 for Baby Brother, directed by Michael J. Long. The soundtrack, available on Spotify, has been streamed over 20,000 times. His work spans numerous short films, with projects screened at festivals worldwide, including the BFI Future Film Festival and the British Urban Film Festival.
Currently, Bobby is an associate artist with the Lazarus Theatre Company, composing scores for multiple productions, including The Caucasian Chalk Circle and a musical adaptation of The Beggar’s Opera.
His music has been featured on BBC Radio, at the BFI, and in renowned theatres such as Southwark Playhouse and Greenwich Theatre.
